Database Administration<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Users administration<\/li>\n<li>Utilities (initialize database, unlock database,\u00a0 unlock records)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Cataloguing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data entry (new records, editing\/deleting\/modifying\/default values)<\/li>\n<li>Adding to Copies database (edit\/delete)<\/li>\n<li>Posting to Loan Objects<\/li>\n<li>Searching within the database (free text\/index)<\/li>\n<li>Database utilities (import\/export\/.iso-.txt files\/inverted file generation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Loans<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loans configuration (working days &amp; hours\/fines\/user type\/item type)<\/li>\n<li>Users Database (modification\/data entry)<\/li>\n<li>Transactions (loan\/return\/renew\/suspend\/fine)<\/li>\n<li>Borrower statement\/history\/State of item<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4.\u00a0 OPAC<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Site Configuration &amp; maintenance (institutional logos\/seals)<\/li>\n<li>Information retrieval skills\/Advanced searching\/form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In March 2011, a group of 18 librarians met to discuss Open Source Software: needs and options.
